Fashion in Brazil: contemporary and past is opening August 12 at FAAP's Museum of Brazilian Art to show the best of Brazilian fashion
Curators José Luis Alfonso Hernández and Denise Pollini show highpoints from the various segments that support Brazilian fashion with an unusual look at the development of this segment, incuding clippings and thematic centers.
Visitors will get a chance to appreciate looks by renowned contemporary designers as well as members of the new generation, with photographs, video, jewelry, publications, textiles, and objects such as sewing machines and irons.
The exhibition is divided into nine clusters comprising a stroll through the history of Brazilian fashion. Contemporary Creators, Pau-Brasil, Publications, Trade and Industry, Fairs and Parades, Dressmakers, Industry Training, Very Latest e Face of Brazil.
