The Museu de Arte Brasileira from FAAP presents, from 26 September to 13 November, the exhibition “Master-pieces of Calabria”, counting with Dr. Rosella Vodrett and Dr. Giorgio Leone as curators, and the assistance of the Brazilian historian Luis Marques.

The exhibition shows for the first time in Brazil 104 works of art from the XIV to the XX century, among painting, marble and silver sculptures and objects coming from churches and convents from the Calabria region, most of them with sacred themes.

Most of the works has baroque style, dated from XVII to XVIII centuries, and are from artists as important as Benedetto da Maiano, Pietro Bernini, Giovan Battista Caracciccolo, Mattia Preti, Francesco Guarini and others.
