SCULPTURES - COLLECTION MAB-FAAP

“Sculptures” gathers ten works produced by sculptors who choose metal as the creation material, with emphasis on small shapes and variations in the treatment of the material.
The show features works created in the second half of the twentieth century by the artist: Bruno Giorgi, Caciporé Torres, Cleber Machado, Mario Cravo Junior, Nicolas Vlavianos, Yutaka Toyota and Zelia Salgado.

"Although each artist follow their own path, all the works have in common the search for a structure, the contrast between the metal bodies and shapes determined by the gaps between them, besides the plasticity of the effects of the texture on its surface, and especially the sensitive exploration of three-dimensional space through the strength of the metal and the light effects, "said Prof.. Maria Izabel Ribeirão Branco, head of MAB-FAAP.
